Recipe: Autumnal Chocolate Orange Truffles
It’ll soon be the season for decadent truffles, so get practising at home — this recipe couldn’t be easier. What's more, it incorporates a delicious chocolate orange cream liqueur for a naughty, boozy touch.
Ingredients:
450g chopped milk chocolate (or dark chocolate if preferred)
250ml double cream
Cocoa powder
Method:
Chop the chocolate and put it into a heatproof bowl.
Add the cream to a saucepan and simmer over medium heat, then pour the over the chocolate, and gently stir until combined.
Next up, stir in the Ballycastle Milk Chocolate Clementine Country Cream, set aside, and allow the mixture to cool.
Once cooled, put it in the fridge for 4 hours until the mix has turned into a silky, thick ganache.
On a baking tray lay out parchment paper, spoon the ganache (use a dessert spoon size) and roll it into balls in your palms — be quick though so the ganache doesn’t melt with the body heat.
Put back into the fridge to cool for an hour and roll or dust them with cocoa powder.
